NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received in the Board of County Commissioners Office of Procurement & Diversity, Room 100, County Administration Building Annex, 112 Hamilton Court, Cleveland, Ohio 44114 until 11:00 A.M., (Local Time) on:
July 20, 2010 for Maintenance of Decorative Lighting for Veterans Memorial Bridge No. 84 for the period: August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2012 as per our specifications and as listed on RQ 16567.
The official closing time shall be determined by the wall clock located in the Board of County Commissioners Office of Procurement & Diversity (SAME ADDRESS). Late bids will be returned unopened.
There will be no Pre-bid Conference. A required site visit shall be made through the Bridge IM Department by appointment only. Any contractor wishing to inspect the bridge lighting may schedule an appointment with Mr. Jeff Horvath, Supervisor, Bridge Inspection and Maintenance, by calling (216) 348-3936. A representative from both the Engineer and the Contractor shall be present for the walk through.
Specifications and proposal blanks may be obtained at the Board of County Commissioners Office of Procurement & Diversity. (SAME ADDRESS) Vendors are also encouraged to register with the County on the Internet at http://opd.cuyahogacounty.us/ to receive notices of future bid opportunities.
Prospective bidders must comply with the applicable contract compliance procedures for the County’s Small Business enterprise Program as stipulated by the Board of County Commissioners. (Effective January 1, 2006 and amended October 1, 2009)
Each bid for a not-to-exceed contract in excess of $25,000.00, must be accompanied by a "Bid Bond" executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, "Certified Check", "Cashier's Check" or "Money Order" drawn on a solvent bank or Savings and Loan Association, payable to the TREASURER OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, in the amount of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) conditioned that if such bid is accepted, the bidder shall execute a Contract in conformity to the specifications and bid and furnish a "Performance Bond" in the amount of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000.00) with required Contract documents within 21 days of notice of award.
The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any bids or any part or all parts of any bid submitted, and waive all technicalities.
Each proposal must state in full, the name and address of each person, firm or corporation interested in the bid submitted.
