NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received in the Board of County Commissioners Office of Procurement & Diversity, Room 100, County Administration Building Annex, 112 Hamilton Court, Cleveland, Ohio 44114 until 2:00 p.m., (local time) on

May 18, 2010 for: Roof Replacements for Brooklyn Adult Activities Center, Operations Facility, Transportation Services Center & Rocky River Adult Activities Center per plans and specifications prepared by the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities and as listed on our
Requisition 16951.                          ESTIMATE $1,530,000.00

The official closing time shall be determined by the wall clock located in the Board of County Commissioners Office of Procurement & Diversity, Room 100, County Administration Building Annex, 112 Hamilton Court, Cleveland, Ohio 44114 (Late bids will be returned unopened).

There will be a Pre-Bid Conference on May 4, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. at Brooklyn Adult Activities Center, 10991 Memphis Avenue, Brooklyn, Ohio 44144 IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT INTERESTED BIDDERS ATTEND.

Prospective bidders are required to visit each site. Site visits will be held immediately following the pre-bid conference or can be scheduled by contacting each site.

Specifications and proposal blanks may be obtained at the Board of County Commissioners Office of Procurement & Diversity. (SAME ADDRESS) Vendors are also encouraged to register with the County on the Internet at http://www.opd.cuyahogacounty.us/ to receive notices of future bid opportunities.

Prospective bidders must comply with the applicable contract compliance procedures for the County’s Small Business Enterprise Program as stipulated by the Board of County Commissioners. (Effective January 1, 2006)

Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Construction Bond for the full amount (100%) of the bid, or a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit in the amount of ten (10%) of the total amount of bid. If a Bid Construction Bond is submitted as the bid guaranty, it must be that of an approved Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. The Bond will be held as a
guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, the bidder will enter into a Contract for same. If a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit is submitted as the bid guaranty, it must be drawn on a Solvent Bank and made payable without condition to the Treasurer of Cuyahoga County, and will be held as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, the bidder will furnish a 100% construction bond and will enter into a contract for same.

A non-refundable fee of $75.00 will be required in advance for each set of drawings and specifications. The non-refundable fee shall be a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Money Order drawn on a Solvent bank or Savings and Loan Association, payable to "Treasurer of Cuyahoga County, Ohio". Personal checks or
cash will not be accepted.

Payment will only be made upon approval by the Board of County Commissioners and payments will be warrants issued by the County Auditor upon notification from the Commissioners.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any bids or any part or all parts of any bid submitted, and waive all technicalities.
